THREE WOMEN OF SWATOW reading in Toronto

On May 23 – 27th, the Tarragon Playwrights Unit of 2016/17 culminated in staged public readings for each of the five playwrights.

Chloé’s Three Women of Swatow received its public reading on May 25th, 2017 at 8pm. It was directed by Esther Jun and featured the wildly talented cast of Marjorie Chan, Brenda Kamino, and April Leung.

Synopsis: When Mother accidentally kills her husband, three generations of women must come together to solve a bloody situation. This darkly comedic play takes a look at the legacy of abuse, the power of family, and how to prevent the resurrection of a headless chicken.

The Unit was overseen by Andrea Romaldi with our first session overseen by Andrea Donaldson.
